Night Under Fire...a little late :)

Edison Marching Band

Matthew wanted his picture taken with everything. Ben did not. It was just the 4 of us that went to Night Under Fire. We had such a great time.

Ok, so I lied. Eric wanted a piece of the picture taken action. In my defense, that is Matthew's head. He was so tired.

Quote of the Day...

"...in the entire span of your life, whatever immediate problem you're facing, is just a blip on the radar unless you do something stupid that turns it into a defining moment."

Happy 4th of July

Everybody waiting for the parade. I'm not sure I can put into words how exciting our parade was this year (if you can't tell, there's a ton of sarcasm in my voice). Let me just say this, they will let anyone walk in it. It lasted FOREVER! The kids got a lot of candy so they were happy.

Three out of four boys walked with Eric. Matthew wanted to keep me company. I think he just didn't want to miss all the candy :) He meant well.

This is the ball field at NFC. My MIL's side always has a reunion on the 4th. It's really nice seeing everyone. We all eat too much and then the kids play baseball with the adults.

Eric and Scott are the grill men this year. They did a great job!!

More 4th of July pictures

Toad at the reunion. Of course, all the boys were very curious about it...poor thing.

We're still at the reunion. Sam absolutely loved this dip. Beth makes it every year and there's not one person who doesn't like it. He didn't want anything else.

Here's a picture of some of the kids..and Chris, Alynne's boyfriend. My boys adore Chris.

My Mom and Step Dad had a party too. We didn't get there until later so there's not as many pictures. The above picture is Krista, Kayleigh, and Mindi. As you can see, they were sooo excited about getting their picture taken :)

Dan and Sam playing ping pong. Sam and Josh just think Dan is the bomb :) They couldn't get enough of him...which is awesome!! Both parties were wonderful. Ate way too much. Got to see everyone.

Everyone was exhausted when we got home. Eric and I took a cat nap between the kids screaming and fighting about the PS3 and then went to watch the fireworks. Our favorite part was the fire bombs. They were awesome!!

Great day...hope everyone's day was great too.

Bowling Anyone?

We all went bowling yesterday for free at Kenilee Lanes. I had my 4 boys and 2 kids I babysit. The American Lung Assoc. wanted to have a fun tobacco-free afternoon/evening out and celebrate Kenilee Lanes for obeying the Smoke Free Workplace Act. This was also their last hoorah because funding has been taken away so no more tobacco programming in Huron County. There's just something wrong with that.

There ended up being over 100 people there. It was free bowling, free shoe rental, free pizza and pop. We also got a goody bag and a ticket for the door prizes. The door prizes were pretty good too...VB passes, movie passes, and a bowling package, which Ben won. I was so excited for him. Now, he and Makayla and another couple can go bowling instead of always going to the movies :)

It was so nice getting out of the house and doing something that didn't cost an arm and a leg. Thanks ALA and Alex, for telling us about it :)

It's officially summer now...I have extra kids :)

I babysit 5 kids over the summer and they turned my house into forts. There were forts everywhere. The above fort had many rooms in it and the green part was a restaurant. I love the imagination of these kids. I didn't even have 2 of the kids. I'm sure on Wed. when I have 9 kids in this house I'll have some interesting pictures for all of you :)

The Bubbles have attacked the Neuberger Home

We have been waiting for school to get out and for the warmer weather so we could all go swimming. Eric took the day off on Friday and we were at Valley Beach by 11:30.

Now, it's Sunday, and we all have been in the house since we got home from VB on Friday. I take that back, we did go see a movie yesterday. And you're probably wondering why aren't you outside enjoying this beautiful weather...well, it's because we forgot to put more sunscreen on during the day on Friday. Yes, all of us, including Josh, got sunburn. 3 out of 6 family members are bubbling on their shoulders. I'm guessing that's a first degree burn. Wonderful, there goes my Mother of the Year Award.

I'm telling you this so hopefully you will learn from our mistake. Not only do I feel like the worst mom, but I've had to listen to my children, God love them, whine and cry for the last two days!!! Our home has not been a fun place.

So, if you see us at VB and there's 4 boys who look like they dumped white paint all over themselves, it's because I BATHED them in sunscreen!!!!

Of course, these pictures do not do justice to the mess I've had to endure.

When they say, reapply sunscreen every 2 hours, listen to them. They obviously know what they're talking about!!!!!
